Our Mission:
As a full service frame shop and creative art center, there are several parts to our mission:

• to assure that you'll be more than pleased when you need art or other items framed.

• to encourage a learning environment.  We are a creative center for:
  · adults and children.
  · professional or amateur artists. 
  · working with clay, paint, collage, stained glass, fused glass and more.
  

• to provide a wide selection of locally produced art for sale.  The gallery represents a wide array of local art and fine crafts. 
  

• to cater to the needs of folks who are looking for custom art from stained glass windows, pottery, photography and more..

The Art Center is the fulfillment of a dream for the owners and member artists.  
The Village Gallery opened in 1971 and is now in its third incarnation. Debbie Derbonne went to work at Village Gallery in 1998 and discovered that she loved the challenge of custom framing. She joined the Art Guild of Orange Park and became a member of the local art community. The business became hers in 2001 and began to work with local artists through the gallery as well as to continue to learn new framing skills and practice the art of stained glass. The gallery hosted shows for many artists, the Collage Society of Northeast Florida, the Art Guild of Orange Park, and the Clay Arts Guild.

The Metamorphosis:   

Local artists discovered that they shared a dream for an art center in the community. The idea was discussed with fellow artists  and the seed was planted.

When the news came that the location on Park Avenue would be sold it was time to create an art center. Studio space is available to several artsists and other artists join them to teach classes and display art. Together we make the creative village.
